yesterday h lost her 5th tooth. this morning during breakfast she remembered that she had put her tooth under her pillow and she ran upstairs in anticipation of finding a treasure left by the fairy. she came downstairs with a very sad look on her face after she discovered her tooth was gone and the fairy had left nothing for her. lame tooth fairy! i can never remember to do her job. poor little h was used to the disappointment. this is the 3rd time we have forgotten. we're fired. i wish i had a picture of my toothless big girl, but my camera is still not working.

so,how come the tooth was gone, but there was nothing for her? When you take the tooth don't you automatically leave something behind??? you are fired! Poor girl!!!
actually, the tooth was still there but she didn't see it. papa kept reminding himself last evening to put money there but when he was putting the kids to bed he fell asleep. i'm just forgetful that way and assumed he would do it. yeah, we are fired.
i went up to her room and put a couple of bucks under her pillow right after i saw the disappointed face and told her she didn't look hard enough. she got paid, it just took a little reminder.
we've forgotten twice with grace!! at our house the tooth fairy pays a penalty fine the next night in an attempt to make up for it!
There have been many times I had to tell Madeline she "didn't look hard enough"..because when I put my hand under her pillow I sure felt something!!
Once Madeline woke up around 11 pm looking for her money. She was disappointed to see the tooth fairy hadn't been there yet. But she noticed something on her dresser. She went over and found $2 in diaper coupons (our tooth fairy leaves $2). She came in to me very confused and said "the tooth fairy left me diaper coupons". Very funny!!
Did H receive Madeline's letter?
LOL! You definitely deserve to be fired! Lol! Remember how we put our teeth in a cup of water in the kitchen? Maybe that would help?
